Web hosting is the provision of web space, i.e. storage space for data on a server, in order to operate a website or web service on it. This server is provided by an internet service provider such as LANSOL. Web hosting has an almost infinite number of functions.
LANSOL offers various web hosting solutions for web hosting projects. These differ primarily in terms of the available storage space and the number of MySQL databases. While storage space is relatively self-explanatory in determining how many and how large files you can place on your server, the number of MYSQL databases is responsible for how many databases can be managed and used.
Moving a website:
To move your website, please order your new web space from LANSOL in advance. Afterwards, the website data can be exported from the old web space and re-imported into the new one. For this, many of our clients call on the support of a web designer.
Moving a domain:
Your domains can be moved to us by requesting what is called an "Auth Code" from your current hoster. We can transfer the domain to us using this "Auth-Code".
Moving e-mails:
In the case of an e-mail move, the e-mail addresses must be newly created with new mailboxes. The e-mail data can then be exported from the old mailbox and imported into the new mailbox. The export and import process can be carried out via Outlook, for example.

There is no limit with LANSOL. The limiting factor is the storage space of the zyanWEB tariff, which is shared by all connected domains.
Yes, externally hosted domains can be used in all zyanWEB tariffs. For this, the DNS settings at your domain provider have to be changed to the zyanWEB server. You can obtain the necessary settings from our support team on request.
Within the Plesk Admin Panel, you can create backups of your web space or set a backup schedule. LANSOL has already predefined a daily backup as standard. In addition, you can also set up an "offsite backup" to an FTP storage of your choice.
Since the introduction of the GDPR, WHOIS entries are no longer publicly viewable. On request, we are able to offer WHOIS privacy as an option.
It is not possible to use mailboxes from zyanWEB and Hosted Exchange with a single domain. The MX record of the domain points to either the zyanWEB or Hosted Exchange server.
Yes, all our web hosting plans include free SSL certificates from Let's Encrypt. If you already have your own SSL certificates, you can of course move them to us.
